Official Rules - Strike Run Pot

DEFINITIONS:

  • Strike Run Series - Is a series of tournaments that are scheduled and run by Strike Run Bowling.
  • Mini-Series - Is a series of tournaments or league sessions that are scheduled and run by other organizers, but has partnered with Strike Run Bowling to offer the Strike Run to their bowlers.
  • Strike Run Pot - Is the total value being held for a particular Strike Run Series or Mini-Series. There are two types of pots; The Main Pot, and Series Pots.
  1. Main Pot - Is the total amount reserved for the Strike Run Series. There can only be ONE main pot.
  2. Series Pot - Is the total amount reserved for a specific Strike Run Mini-Series. There can be multiple series pots, one for each active Mini-Series.
  • Strike Run Event - Is one tournament or league session. A series is comprised of several events.
  • Strike Run Round - Is the portion of the tournament or league session where bowlers attempt their Strike Runs.
  • Strike Run - Is one bowlers attempt at breaking the Strike Run Pot.
  • Strike Value - The prize available for throwing a strike.

 

STRIKE RUN POT (Rules)

1. The percentage of the Strike Run Pot available for a Strike Run event will be as follows:

  • This rule is currently undefined and does not apply.

2. The total number of strikes needed to break a Strike Run pot is determined by how much money is in the pot:

  • $0 - $59 (3 Strikes needed to break the pot)
  • $60 - $119 (4 Strikes needed to break the pot)
  • $120 - $239 (5 Strikes needed to break the pot)
  • $240 - $479 (6 Strikes needed to break the pot)
  • $480 - $959 (7 Strikes needed to break the pot)
  • $960 - $1919 (8 Strikes needed to break the pot)
  • $1920 - $3839 (9 Strikes needed to break the pot)
  • $3840+ (10 Strikes needed to break the pot)

3. Once established, the number of strikes needed to break the Strike Run pot will remain constant for the duration of the Strike Run round; regardless of any values.

4a. 20% of the available Strike Run pot will be held as a reserve for each Strike Run.

4b. 80% of the available Strike Run pot will be the strike value for highest strike as required in chart above. Unless otherwise indicated for a specific event.

4c. The maximum strike value at the start of a Strike Run round shall not be less than 10 times the value of the Strike Run Entry.

5a. The Strike Value of the remaining strikes will be 50% of the value of the next higher strike. Example: Strike 6 is worth 50% of strike 7; Strike 5 is worth 50% of Strike 6; This continues until all strikes have an assigned value.

5b. The prize value for any strike shall not be less than the value of the Strike Run Entry.

6. The Strike Values will be adjusted after every Strike Run

7. All Strike Values will be rounded to the nearest whole dollar.
