Strike Run Mini Series
Official Rules
GENERAL RULES:
- Tournament director reserves the right to reject or disallow any entry.
- Disputes will be settled by the tournament director
- "Unsportsman Like Conduct" can result in fine, disqualification and/or suspension from the Mini-Series or any future Strike Run events.
- Any fines must be paid before a player is allowed to bowl. All fines collected will be added to the Strike Run Pot.
- "unsportsman like Conduct" may include (but not limited to); Abuse of equipment/fixtures; creating a disturbance; cheating; Language; or any reason that may negatively affect the series, fellow bowlers, or the host center.
Strike Run Mini-Series
1. DEFINITION - Strike Run Mini Series is a series of no less than four scheduled events, where each event will consist of a Strike Run round as outlined below under "Strike Run Round", and each series will consist of a series long points race as outlined below under "Strike Run Mini-Series Points."
2. A Strike Run Mini-Series can consist of no less than four consecutively scheduled tournaments or league sessions.
3. The duration between each scheduled tournament or league session cannot exceed 30 days.
4. The duration of a mini-series will be established by the tournament/league director and all bowlers will be notified of the duration prior to the first Strike Run event of the mini-series.
5. Entry fees will be established by the tournament/league director and all bowlers will be notified of the Entry Fee prior to the first Strike Run event of the min-series.
6. Entry Fees can range between $5 and $20
7. Entry Fee's must remain the same for the duration of the mini-series unless otherwise noted in series rules.
8. A $3 expense fee will be withheld from each entry. All remaining money will be paid back as prizes.
STRIKE RUN ROUND
9a. For leagues, only bowlers permanently assigned to a team, and are not in the arrears are eligible to enter and participate in the Strike Run Mini-Series.
9b. For tournaments, Only bowlers who have entered the parent tournament are eligible to enter and participate in the Strike Run Mini-Series.
10a. To qualify for a Strike Run, bowlers will use their tournament/league scores.
10b.The number of bowlers who will qualify for a Strike Run will depend on the number of entries as outlined below:
- 1-5 entries: 1 qualifier
- 6-8 entries: 2 qualifiers
- 9-11 entries: 3 qualifiers
- 12-14 entries: 4 qualifiers
- 15-17 entries: 5 qualifiers
- 18-20 entries: 6 qualifiers
- 21-23 entries: 7 qualifiers
- 24-26 entries: 8 qualifiers
- 27-29 entries: 9 qualifiers
- 30+ entries: 10 qualifiers
11. The Strike Run Round will take place immediately following the parent tournament or league.
12. The lane used for the Strike Run Round will be done by drawing. the highest scoring qualifier will draw for lane.
13. All Strike Runs for that event will take place on the same lane.
14. Strike Runs will take place one at a time, starting with the highest qualifier.
15. Strike values will be adjusted after each bowler completes their Strike Run.
16. After the final bowler completes their Strike Run, whatever money is remaining in the Strike Run Pot will carry over to the next event.
17. After the final Strike Run of the final event of the series, whatever money is remaining in the Strike Run Pot will be immediately paid out to the top five bowlers based on the point system as outlined below under "Strike Run Mini-Series Points."
Strike Run Mini-Series Points
18a. All bowlers who enter a Strike Run Mini-Series event will be awarded points as follows:
18b. Highest qualifier, based on tournament score, will be awarded points which is equal to the total number of entries in that event.
18c. All other qualifiers will receive one less point than the next best qualifier. This continues until the the last qualifier receives one point.
Example (based on 8 entries):
- 1st place = 8 points
- 2nd place = 7 points
- 3rd place = 6 points
- 4th place = 5 points
- 5th place = 4 points
- 6th place = 3 points
- 7th place = 2 points
- 8th place = 1 point
19a. TIES - Players with identical qualifying scores will each be awarded points for the highest tied position.
19b. TIES for Strike Run Round: - All players who tied for the final Strike Run qualifying spot will advance to the Strike Run (bonus qualifiers if needed).
19c. Order of Strike Run for tied scores: - We will break ties to determine the order of Strike Runs when players have identical qualifying scores using the following criteria:
- High game, 2nd high game, 3rd high game, etc.
- If tie remains; Player who bowled highest game first will get the spot.
- If players bowled identical scores for all games, a coin toss will be used.
20. BONUS POINTS: Bonus points will be awarded to players at the rate of two points for every strike thrown during a Strike Run.
21. The five bowlers with the most points at the end of the Mini-Series will split the Strike Run Pot as follows:
- 1st place = 30.30%
- 2nd place = 22.73%
- 3rd Place = 18.18%
- 4th Place = 15.15%
- 5th Place = 13.64%
22. All posted prize money, including point money and strike values, will be rounded to the nearest whole dollar.
