What is the Strike Run?
When a bowler qualifies for the Strike Run they have the opportunity to attempt to string together as many strikes as possible. The bowler wins cash with the first strike, and each additional strike doubles in value. The bowler wins based on how many consecutive strikes is thrown.

Example:
1 Strike = $9
2 Strikes = $18
3 Strikes = $36
4 Strikes = $72
5 Strikes = $144
6 Strikes = $288
7 Strikes = $576
8 Strikes = $1,152
9 Strikes = $2,304
10 Strikes = $4,608

How much can you win?
The value of the Strike Run Pot depends on the current value of the Strike Run Pot and how many bowlers are entered in the current tournament. As a general rule, the minimum value of breaking the Strike Run Pot is at or above 10 times the entry fee.

The Strike Run Pot is progressive. Whatever money is collected and not won each week is carried over to the following week. How fast and large it grows depends on how many participate, lane conditions, and length of the series.

On average the Strike Run Pot will grow to 20 to 50 times the entry fee before the pot is broken. There is no limit on how large the Strike Run Pot can grow, but it is not expected to grow much higher than 120X the entry fee.

How does a bowler qualify for the Strike Run?
1 out of every 3 paid entries qualifies to go on a Strike Run. So if there are 18 entries, the top 6 qualify for the Strike Run.

If there are 100 entries you will take 30 bowlers to the Strike Run?
No. We limit the Strike Run to 10 bowlers. We will take 1-in-3 when there are less than 30 entries. When there are 30 or more entries we will take the top 10 qualifiers.

How can you enter the Strike Run?
You can enter the Strike Run through a Strike Run season tournament, an affiliate league, or an affiliate tournament.

Do you really have to throw 10 strikes to break the Strike Run Pot?
Rarely will the Strike Run Pot be large enough to require ten strikes. Ten strikes are required only when the Strike Run Pot goes over $3,840.

Most Strike Run Pots will require between 6 and 8 strikes. The minimum number of strikes will always be six. See the rules and regulations for specific details.

If the first bowler breaks the Strike Run Pot, will there be any money left for the other qualifiers to win?

Yes. We always hold 20% of the pot in reserve for each attempt of the Strike Run Pot. For instance, if there is $500 in the pot, $400 will be available for that attempt. If that bowler breaks the pot and wins $400, there will be $100 left in the pot. The next qualifier will be bowling for a maximum prize of $80 ($100 - 20% reserve).

Sometimes I see that one strike is worth $1, and two strikes is worth $1. I thought that each strike doubles in value? They do. In reality, the strike values are calculated down to the penny. To keep things simple, we round these values to the nearest whole dollar. So if one strike is worth $0.65, then two strikes would be worth $1.30. Both of these values would be rounded to $1.
